Downtown Aspen offers plenty to please party-people and has a long history of late-night revelry. There are also options on the slopes and at the base stations of the four areas for afternoon après. Snowmass is quieter than Aspen, but still has a few options.  As an alternative to partying, there’s also an art gallery

Aspen offers over 100 bars and restaurants mainly found around the blocks between the lifts and Main Street, while Snowmass village has a couple of pedestrian malls which house several eateries. Whether it’s wood-fired pizza, goat-meat taco, vegan snack or juicy steak, this resort can oblige, and hotel dining rooms provide high end options too.

Aspen is glamorous and fashionable, so the idea of finding budget accommodation here is slightly quaint. But of course even here some places are cheaper than others, particularly at Snowmass because while the ski area has its own base village it’s furthest from happening Aspen town and the other three ski areas.
